This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Collaborate with business leaders and managers to align business priorities with people strategies and HR solutions.
• Offer coaching, consultation, and strategic HR advice regarding workforce, talent, performance, organizational, and employee issues.
• Utilize workforce data and HR insights to discern trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Assist with organizational changes, restructures, workforce initiatives, and business transformation efforts.
• Execute enterprise and regional HR programs in collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence.
• Encourage fluency in AI and the adoption of AI-driven working methods.
• Discover avenues to enhance workforce skills and capabilities.
• Provide guidance on labor relations concerning collective bargaining agreements, workplace policies, practices, and employment requirements.
• Oversee and assist with grievance processes, investigations, responses, and collaborate with Employee Relations and Legal.
• Foster relationships with union representatives and aid in labor negotiations.
• Support contract administration and ensure consistent application of collective bargaining agreements.
• Collaborate with leaders on performance, attendance, conduct, conflict resolution, investigations, and policy interpretation.
• Mentor managers on employee relations practices and necessary documentation.
• Identify and escalate compliance, litigation, and business risks.
• Assist in organizational design, workforce structuring, change management, and employee communication.
• Evaluate organizational and employee trends and propose solutions for engagement, effectiveness, and performance.
• Aid in workforce planning, staffing, talent reviews, succession planning, and development strategies.
• Facilitate performance management, talent review, and employee development initiatives.
• Guide leaders on enhancing leadership capabilities, team effectiveness, performance, retention, and career development.
• Promote employee engagement initiatives, analyze survey data, and foster inclusive and constructive employee-management relationships.
• Implement compliant HR programs, policies, frameworks, and tools.
• Lead or contribute to HR projects aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
• Enhance HR processes, tools, and operational methods.
• Stay informed on current HR practices, labor relations trends, and advancements in HR technologies.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
• Substantial experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar role within a complex organization.
• A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
• Proven experience in supporting union-represented employees is essential.
• Experience managing employee and labor relations issues, including grievances, investigations, performance, conduct, and workplace concerns.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience effectively collaborating with union representatives and management.
• Experience in interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements.
• Participation in union/collective bargaining agreement negotiations is preferred.
• Ability to support both unionized and non-unionized employee groups.
• Experience advising and coaching managers on intricate HR and employee relations issues.
• Familiarity with organizational change, performance management, workforce planning, and talent management.
• Strong understanding of employment practices, labor relations principles, and HR compliance obligations.
• Solid business acumen linking people priorities with operational and business outcomes.
• Excellent analytical abilities using workforce data and insights to identify trends and suggest effective solutions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Capacity to influence, build credibility, and establish trusted relationships across various organizational levels.
• Ability to make sound judgments, handle sensitive and confidential matters, and navigate complex employee situations.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and HR initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated use of AI and HR technology to enhance effectiveness, productivity, and employee or manager experiences.
