This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Oversee QPP/CPP files as directed by the Disability Case Specialist, encompassing referrals, applications, follow-ups, appeals, and decisions.
β’ Initiate applications and assist plan members throughout the process.
β’ Conduct follow-ups to ensure all processes are finalized.
β’ Clarify benefit offsets and their implications for plan members through both phone and written communication.
β’ Serve as a subject matter expert on QPP and CPP files.
β’ Offer guidance on complex cases and the latest practices in government disability programs.
β’ Contribute to knowledge exchange, process improvements, and operational best practices.
β’ Provide updates on file statuses.
β’ Calculate QPP/CPP retroactive payment amounts.
β’ Initiate recovery processes with QPP/CPP.
β’ Input information and apply offsets in relevant systems, ensuring continuity and accuracy in calculations.
β’ Communicate with QPP/CPP regarding timelines and decisions.
β’ Ensure necessary information and documentation are provided to QPP/CPP.
β’ Process refusal decisions and assist insured individuals with appeals.
β’ Identify opportunities to enhance processes, member experiences, and operational efficiency.
β’ Engage in innovation, quality, and disability management initiatives.
β’ A post-secondary diploma in administration, insurance, accounting, finance, or a related field.
β’ 1-3 years of experience in disability management, group insurance, claims administration, finance, or a related area.
β’ Background in finance or accounting.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
β’ Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills.
β’ Robust analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Capacity to work with minimal supervision.
β’ In-depth knowledge of government disability benefit programs, including QPP and CPP, or the ability to quickly acquire expertise.
β’ Attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
β’ Confidence in explaining financial concepts.
β’ Customer-centric approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
β’ Proficient typing skills and technical aptitude in Microsoft Office.
β’ Experience with an electronic case management system, such as Fineos, is considered an asset.
β’ Bilingualism in English and French is required.
