This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Carry out objective and thorough investigations into employee relations issues, such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy breaches, workplace conduct problems, theft, and other employee grievances.
β’ Oversee investigations from the initial intake to resolution, which includes creating investigation plans, conducting interviews, reviewing documentation, analyzing findings, and compiling summaries and recommendations.
β’ Collaborate with People Partners, managers, and leadership on employee relations issues, policy interpretation, performance-related concerns, and workplace challenges.
β’ Ensure the consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
β’ Keep precise, comprehensive, and confidential records of investigation documentation.
β’ Recognize trends and recurring patterns from employee relations cases and offer insights for enhancing workplace practices, policies, and the employee experience.
β’ Conduct investigations with discretion, neutrality, confidentiality, and respect for employee privacy.
β’ Remain updated on employment laws, regulatory requirements, and best practices in employee relations.
β’ Contribute to the enhancement of employee relations processes, tools, and resources.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years of proven experience in conducting employee relations investigations.
β’ In-depth knowledge of employee relations practices, investigation methodologies, and employment laws.
β’ Experience managing sensitive and confidential employee issues with professionalism and discretion.
β’ Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, including EEO principles, harassment prevention, workplace conduct, FMLA, ADA, and other relevant employment practices.
β’ Strong grasp of HR policies, performance management processes, corrective action, and conflict resolution practices.
β’ Excellent interviewing, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
β’ Ability to handle multiple investigations and priorities while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
β’ Highly adept at quickly establishing relationships and consensus at all organizational levels.
β’ Capable of influencing in a collaborative environment, showing flexibility, and fostering strong business partnerships.
β’ Proficient in developing solutions to moderately complex problems.
β’ Courageous and able to communicate difficult messages effectively to individuals at any organizational level.
β’ Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
β’ Skilled in maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
β’ Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Experienced with compliance obligations at both federal and multi-state levels.
