This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business leaders and managers to grasp priorities and transform them into strategic people plans and HR solutions.

• Offer coaching, consultation, and HR expertise on workforce, talent, performance, organizational, and employee issues.

• Leverage workforce data and HR insights to detect trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Assist in organizational changes, restructures, workforce initiatives, and business transformations.

• Execute enterprise and regional HR programs in conjunction with HR Centers of Excellence.

• Advocate for AI fluency and the adoption of AI-driven working methods.

• Act as a primary HR partner for both union-represented and non-union employees.

• Provide counsel on collective bargaining agreements, workplace policies, employment requirements, grievances, investigations, performance, conduct, and conflicts.

• Cultivate relationships with union representatives and aid in labor negotiations and contract administration.

• Identify and escalate compliance, litigation, and business risks.

• Assist in organizational design, change management, workforce planning, succession planning, talent reviews, and development planning.

• Facilitate initiatives related to performance management, talent review, employee development, engagement, and inclusion.

• Implement HR programs, policies, frameworks, and tools.

• Lead or participate in HR projects aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee experience.

• Collaborate across HR, Employee Relations, Legal, Compliance, and business teams to resolve intricate workforce issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with substantial experience functioning as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar role in a complex organization.

• A Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be taken into account.

• Proven experience supporting union-represented employees is essential.

• Demonstrated experience managing employee and labor relations matters, which includes grievances, investigations, performance, conduct, and workplace issues.

• Strong negotiation skills and effective experience working with union representatives and management.

• Familiarity with interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements.

• Participation in union/collective bargaining agreement negotiations is preferred.

• Proven ability to support both union and non-union employee groups.

• Experience in advising and coaching managers on complex HR and employee relations issues.

• Demonstrated experience with organizational change, performance management, workforce planning, and talent management.

• Strong understanding of employment practices, labor relations principles, and HR compliance requirements.

• Solid business acumen with the capability to link people priorities to operational and business outcomes.

• Excellent analytical skills with the proficiency to utilize workforce data and insights to recognize trends and propose solutions.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proven capability to influence, build credibility, and establish trusted relationships across various levels of an organization.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment, manage sensitive and confidential matters, and navigate intricate employee situations.

• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and HR initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Demonstrated use of AI and HR technology to enhance effectiveness, productivity, and the experiences of employees or managers.

• A sense of curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
