Senior Health Information Management Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Review patient records to ensure thoroughness and precision of documentation in line with DNV, CMS, and SMC standards.

• Suspend and reinstate physicians from the SMC medical staff in accordance with the Relinquishment of Privileges section of the SMC Medical Staff Rules and Regulations.

• Generate and/or distribute the suspension list.

• Remove practitioners from the suspension list.

• Engage in the analysis of operative reports and the suspension process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of a Health Information Technology program.

• RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred at the time of hire.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in record analysis within Health Information Management in either an acute care hospital environment or a multi-physician clinic is preferred.

• Familiarity with DNV, CMS, and SMC guidelines.

• Proficiency in analyzing patient records to assess completeness and documentation accuracy.

• Capability to execute physician suspension and reinstatement procedures in accordance with SMC Medical Staff Rules and Regulations.
