Senior Business Analyst, Oracle EPM Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead sessions for gathering requirements with Finance, HR, business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners.

• Define and document business, functional, and reporting requirements for Oracle EPM.

• Assist in establishing and refining project scope, priorities, dependencies, and functional workstreams.

• Convert business needs into functional requirements, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.

• Create current-state and future-state process flows.

• Aid in the design and implementation of Oracle EPM functionality and reporting.

• Collaborate with business users to identify reporting, forecasting, planning, budgeting, and performance management requirements.

• Recognize gaps between current processes and Oracle EPM capabilities.

• Work alongside implementation consultants and technical teams to translate requirements into system configurations and solutions.

• Assist in developing a testing strategy, test scenarios, UAT, defect resolution, and implementation readiness.

• Support data validation, reporting validation, integrations, and alignment of business processes.

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and assist in decision-making when requirements or scope lack clarity.

• Aid in change management, user readiness, documentation, and go-live activities.

• Provide light project coordination while maintaining a primary focus on functional Business Analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, or equivalent functional systems experience.

• Practical experience with Oracle EPM implementation within the last 5 years.

• Involvement in an Oracle EPM implementation from requirements gathering and scoping through testing and go-live phases.

• Strong background in requirements elicitation, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and functional discovery.

• Proven ability to define and document project scope.

• Experience in creating BRDs, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and process maps.

• Solid experience in supporting system testing and UAT.

• Experience working directly with Finance and/or HR stakeholders.

• Strong functional understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, planning, or enterprise performance management.

• Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements for implementation teams.

• Experience collaborating with implementation partners, vendors, consultants, and internal technical teams.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

• Recent implementation experience with one or more Oracle EPM technologies, including Oracle Cloud EPM, Planning/Planning Cloud, PBCS/EPBCS, FCCS, Narrative Reporting, ARCS/Account Reconciliation, Financial Reporting, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, Essbase, or other Oracle EPM modules supporting planning, forecasting, consolidation, or reporting.
