Senior Global Payroll Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and manage the complete payroll processing cycle for US multi-state and international entities, ensuring precision and timely execution.

• Oversee payroll data and workflows utilizing platforms such as ADP, Oyster, Activpayroll, and others.

• Partner with People Ops, Benefits, and Accounting teams to accurately capture and reconcile equity, bonuses, and fringe benefits.

• Handle payroll-related tax withholdings, employer obligations, and statutory contributions across various global regions.

• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings conducted by payroll service providers.

• Manage payroll tax account registrations in active jurisdictions and establish new tax IDs for states or countries that are expanding.

• Address payroll tax notices and inquiries from agencies including the IRS and HMRC.

• Oversee both internal and external payroll audits, ensuring that all documentation remains compliant.

• Enhance payroll processes by reducing manual workarounds and boosting overall efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in high-volume, multi-region payroll processing.

• Demonstrated history of managing payroll processing across diverse global jurisdictions.

• Required expert-level proficiency in ADP.

• Experience with Hibob HRIS, Oyster Payroll, and Activpayroll is highly regarded.

• Capability to identify discrepancies within large datasets.

• Ability to clearly explain complex payroll and tax concepts.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, People Ops, Benefits, and Accounting teams.

• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools and technologies in daily operations, problem-solving, and ongoing learning is essential.

• Preference for candidates located in the ET or CT time zones.
