This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the development and continuous enhancement of health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs across various countries, ensuring a balance between local requirements and a unified philosophy.

• Manage and direct ambiguous, cross-functional projects, such as country expansions, mergers and acquisitions integrations, and plan redesigns by defining the issues, identifying relevant stakeholders, and selecting an approach without a fully developed brief.

• Maintain global vendor and broker relationships, including negotiating renewals, and ensure partners adhere to cost and service commitments.

• Act as Mixpanel's primary resource for benefits compliance (including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, GDPR, and their international equivalents), keeping abreast of regulatory changes and evaluating their implications.

• Examine program cost and utilization data to identify savings opportunities and inform annual budgeting, translating findings into clear recommendations for leadership.

• Create benefits education and self-service resources to simplify complex programs for employee comprehension and usage.

• Utilize AI and other innovative tools to enhance reporting, analysis, or employee support, sharing effective strategies with the broader People team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience leading complex, ambiguous, cross-functional projects independently, with the ability to reference specific examples rather than merely executing a defined process.

• A solid understanding of benefits and employment compliance frameworks, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and international equivalents such as GDPR.

• Background in managing vendors, brokers, or carriers, including negotiating renewals and holding partners accountable for service commitments.

• Demonstrated ability to transform cost and utilization data into actionable recommendations.

• Comfort with adopting new tools, including AI, to enhance efficiency and quality of work, along with a tendency to share effective practices with others.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to adjust tone for various audiences including employees, partners, vendors, and senior leaders, particularly in complex situations.

• Strong judgment and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a rapidly evolving, multi-country environment.

• A degree in human resources, business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
