Senior GIS Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the Air Force's geospatial and audit remediation efforts.

• Detect, analyze, and resolve intricate spatial and attribute data inconsistencies within Air Force geospatial datasets.

• Assess discrepancies in linear structure geometry, segmentation, length, and classification between GIS layers and property management systems like NexGen IT / TRIRIGA.

• Perform advanced spatial QA/QC procedures to identify missing, outdated, duplicated, or fragmented spatial data.

• Facilitate virtual technical assistance sessions with base-level Geospatial Integration Offices and Real Property staff.

• Undertake focused site visits and field validation when desktop data proves insufficient.

• Define validation boundaries for underground utilities and linear assets, converting data uncertainty into engineering/survey requirements.

• Convert geospatial insights, remediation metrics, and audit progress into documentation, corrective action reports, and executive summaries.

• Create interactive dashboards and reporting views to monitor data quality enhancements and post-remediation metrics.

• Work collaboratively with clients and internal team members to implement effective and sustainable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

• More than 10 years of technical experience.

• Expertise in enterprise GIS suites.

• Strong knowledge of CAD/as-built engineering drawings, aerial imagery analysis, and survey integration.

• Proven experience in diagnosing root-cause data discrepancies, including topology errors, schema misalignments, and disrupted linear networks.

• Experience in executing systemic data remediation strategies.

• Familiarity with high-precision GNSS/GPS collectors, mobile LiDAR, or rangefinders.

• Power BI experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of Air Force Real Property management platforms, such as NexGen IT / TRIRIGA, is preferred.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Secret clearance or higher with the Department of Defense is required.
