Senior GIS Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, assess, and sustain digital mapping data utilizing GIS.

• Assist in the planning, design, and construction of Fiber and HFC networks.

• Facilitate map requests for BSL State Challenges and updates for FCC maps.

• Offer technical support for the maintenance and development of GIS data.

• Generate, compile, and uphold data for internal business inquiries.

• Aid in the mapping of fiber optic and HFC networks with ArcGIS and ArcFM.

• Contribute to the development, design, and upkeep of GIS datasets, geodatabases, and ArcGIS applications.

• Gather, attribute, edit, clean, organize, and map spatial data using ESRI ArcGIS.

• Revise parcel data through ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro and REGRID data entry.

• Provide advanced technical assistance for GIS-related initiatives.

• Research County, State, and Federal records while interpreting maps, aerial photographs, and construction as-builts.

• Assist with GIS software specifications and standards for engineering, construction, maintenance, and network operations.

• Manage and sustain geospatial data for fiber and HFC route assets and schematics.

• Inventory the capacities and status of existing fiber infrastructure.

• Execute calculations and apply coordinate systems and geodetic projections.

• Support GIS map requests for Legal, Market Expansion, and design teams.

• Ensure that geospatial inventories of fiber infrastructure adhere to GIS best practices.

• Execute additional assigned responsibilities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient cartographic skills using ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro for digital and printed presentation materials.

• Over 5 years of experience with ESRI platforms, including ArcGIS and ArcFM.

• Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in GIS.

• Experience in producing or updating overlay maps that display boundary information, utility locations, or topographic features across various base maps, scales, and coordinate systems.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities efficiently under pressure.

• Demonstrated customer service skills with internal teams, a sense of urgency, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to handle situations diplomatically across various organizational levels.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Aptitude for problem-solving.

• Familiarity with ArcGIS and ESRI platforms.

• Understanding of outside plant design and construction methodologies.

• Experience with Python and SQL programming languages is advantageous.

• Familiarity with MyWorld, ArcFM, and AutoCAD is a plus.
