Senior Full-Stack Engineer, TypeScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive product features within a contemporary Next.js and React application.

• Enhance and expand the shared component library along with design tokens for both light and dark themes.

• Manage the server tier for request proxying, session management, and secure backend credential handling.

• Implement OIDC authentication, verify JWT claims, manage session expiry, and facilitate role-based UI authorization.

• Oversee the maintenance of the generated TypeScript SDK, the code generation pipeline, compatibility gates, and API drift detection.

• Collaborate with backend teams regarding API contracts and negotiate effective response structures.

• Construct resilient data layers incorporating caching, invalidation, optimistic updates, pagination, and precise loading/error states.

• Compose component tests and Playwright end-to-end suites for live environments.

• Ensure the application adheres to accessibility standards, responsive design, and optimal web performance.

• Integrate error tracking, product analytics, feature flags, and structured logging into the application.

• Review code, troubleshoot production issues to identify root causes, enhance regression coverage, and mentor junior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with extensive production experience in TypeScript and modern React paradigms.

• Profound understanding of Next.js architecture, covering server/client component boundaries, caching strategies, and server-side rendering.

• Full-stack experience managing server-side code and API proxies.

• Proven experience in implementing OAuth2/OIDC flows, JWT verification, and secure cookie/session management.

• Experience in managing intricate application states and synchronizing server-state with client UI updates.

• Strong background in CSS architecture and design-system practices, including utility-first CSS, scalable theming, and accessible component APIs built on headless primitives.

• Testing experience across unit, component, and end-to-end layers, encompassing network mocking and CI integration.

• Familiarity with working in a monorepo that includes shared packages and a task-graph build system.

• Ability to communicate clearly in written English for design documents, review comments, and asynchronous collaboration across global time zones.

• Proficiency in TypeScript, React 19, Next.js App Router, and Node.js 22+.

• Experience with Tailwind CSS v4, headless primitives like Base UI or Radix, CVA, design tokens, and theming.

• Background in using TanStack Query, Zod validation, and OpenAPI-generated TypeScript clients.

• Knowledge of OIDC/JWT session handling, cookie security, and role-based access control.

• Experience with Vitest, Testing Library, MSW, and Playwright.

• Familiarity with pnpm workspaces, Turborepo, ESLint, Prettier, and GitHub Actions.

• Experience in error tracking, product analytics, and Docker-packaged deployment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering or a related field, or 10 years of relevant experience.
