Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Shopify, E-Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain top-notch ecommerce experiences utilizing Shopify and customized infrastructure.

• Collaborate with Shopify APIs, managing product/variant data, cart functionality, checkout limitations, and webhooks.

• Deliver frontend experiences using React, Next.js, and occasionally Vue.js.

• Create backend services, integrations, and internal tools.

• Enhance Cloudflare Workers and manage reverse-proxy/split-testing infrastructure.

• Facilitate A/B testing and experimentation throughout the ecommerce funnel.

• Optimize Recharge/customer portal subscription processes, including cancellations, product swaps, rebill logic, and retention features.

• Execute and verify tracking across experiments, attribution, and analytics.

• Leverage AI coding tools to evaluate approaches, debug issues, generate tests, and review work.

• Take ownership of pre-launch quality assurance for high-impact releases.

• Identify edge cases and oversee launches post-release.

• Communicate risks, scope issues, and potential disruptions early and effectively.

• Assist in expediting ecommerce launches while minimizing post-launch complications.

• Decrease manual CTO oversight for Shopify, checkout, subscription, and tracking tasks.

• Enhance engineering quality and guide the broader engineering team through collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, webhooks, and product/variant/cart/checkout functionality.

• Proficient in React and/or Next.js.

• Strong skills in TypeScript or modern JavaScript.

• Experience with Node.js or similar backend technologies.

• Solid understanding of API design.

• Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs.

• Experience with Git/GitHub pull request workflows.

• History of managing production deployments.

• Proven ability to debug production issues and develop fast, reliable, maintainable software.

• Sound judgment in the use of AI development tools as a productivity enhancer.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willingness to work during EST hours.

• Must be US-based.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment.

• Experience with Recharge or similar subscription platforms is preferred.

• Familiarity with subscription processes is preferred.

• Experience with Shopify Functions / Checkout Extensibility is preferred.

• Background in Cloudflare Workers, reverse proxies, or edge infrastructure is preferred.

• Knowledge of A/B testing or experimentation systems is preferred.

• Experience with ecommerce analytics and tracking tools is preferred.

• Skills in performance optimization for high-traffic ecommerce pages are preferred.

• Experience in developing internal ecommerce, operations, or catalog tools is preferred.

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding workflows is preferred.
