Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the current production codebase for security vulnerabilities, scalability and performance issues, architectural risks, data protection concerns, and reliability challenges.

• Prioritize and implement practical enhancements to ensure a safe and stable public launch.

• Take ownership of features from data modeling and architecture through to building, deploying, and delivering to customers.

• Engage with the full stack, focusing predominantly on backend development.

• Lead and contribute to Vue.js frontend development efforts.

• Enhance the platform’s visual design.

• Utilize AI coding agents to expedite development while ensuring correctness, reliability, and maintainability.

• Design, automate, and perform functional, regression, load, and smoke testing.

• Identify and communicate technical risks at an early stage.

• Design and evolve relational data models, PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, migrations, and Prisma models.

• Collaborate on integrations with platforms including Stripe Connect, LiveKit, Twilio, Zoom, Anthropic, and pgvector.

• Assist in establishing engineering standards for production.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-9+ years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong production background with Vue.js.

• Extensive hands-on experience in relational database design.

• PostgreSQL experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with Nuxt and Prisma is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience in assessing production applications for security, scalability, and performance risks.

• Practical experience in identifying vulnerabilities, safeguarding sensitive customer data, diagnosing bottlenecks, and implementing effective improvements.

• Ability to quickly grasp and contribute to an existing codebase and technical direction.

• Proven experience using AI coding agents in a production codebase.

• Strong expertise in testing methodologies, including functional, regression, load, and smoke testing.

• Experience in automating test suites.

• Highly organized and self-sufficient, with the capability to work independently in a dynamic environment with shifting requirements.

• Adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth startup setting.

• Proven track record of owning entire features from concept to production deployment.
