Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and expand octopusenergy.es, including customer onboarding processes and the customer private area.

• Serve as the technical leader in the frontend domain.

• Collaborate closely with Marketing and various internal stakeholders.

• Partner with Octopus Energy ES and international engineering teams to create and integrate new features.

• Manage essential frontend product components, such as the private area, billing management, session savings, customer onboarding enhancements, and marketing dashboards.

• Produce impactful code for customers in a dynamic environment.

• Operate within an agile, flat-hierarchy work culture.

• Adjust to shifting business priorities and work across multiple areas.

• Optionally engage in backend tasks utilizing Python/Django and GraphQL.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in spoken English is crucial.

• Strong and demonstrable experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer.

• Comprehensive understanding of modern frontend architecture.

• Extensive expertise in TypeScript and React.

• Practical experience with Next.js, preferably hosted on Vercel.

• Familiarity with GraphQL as a data layer.

• Comfort with CSS-in-JS methodologies.

• Robust testing practices using Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.

• Experience with a monorepo structure.

• A flexible and collaborative attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving setting.

• Interest or background in backend development, especially in Python (Django), is advantageous.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL is a plus.

• A fullstack mindset is a desirable attribute.
