Senior Front-end Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, and sustain responsive, enterprise-level web applications utilizing Vue.js along with modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Create reusable, maintainable, and scalable Vue components while contributing to the in-house UI framework and component library.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to convert designs into responsive, accessible, and consistent user experiences, including implementation and documentation via Storybook.

• Engage in product and technical design discussions, offering recommendations related to front-end architecture, usability, performance, and implementation strategies.

• Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and C#/.NET backend services.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code in accordance with established engineering standards and best practices.

• Create and maintain unit and integration tests, designing solutions with testability in mind.

• Participate in peer code reviews, providing constructive technical feedback.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate application, browser, integration, and performance issues.

• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, responsiveness, and overall user experience.

• Implement appropriate web accessibility standards in front-end development.

• Utilize GitHub for source control, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development efforts.

• Operate within Docker-based development environments as applicable.

• Employ SQL Server/SSMS as necessary to investigate data and troubleshoot application issues.

• Work closely with QA to address defects and support the delivery of reliable, high-quality software.

• Contribute to technical standards, development practices, documentation, and ongoing improvement.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced developers when suitable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software development experience, particularly in front-end application development.

• Strong professional background in developing applications with Vue.js.

• High proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end development methodologies.

• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and contemporary web development principles.

• Experience in creating reusable, component-based user interfaces.

• Extensive experience in integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with unit and integration testing.

• Proficient in using Git and GitHub, including pull requests and code reviews.

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to independently analyze requirements, identify technical solutions, and deliver results with minimal guidance.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum or Kanban environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Software Developers, QA, Product, UX/UI, and other stakeholders.

• Professional experience with TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Storybook or similar tools for component development and documentation.

• Experience working with C#/.NET backend services and APIs.

• Working knowledge of SQL Server and SSMS for data investigation and troubleshooting.

• Experience using Docker and containerized development environments.

• Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and browser performance.

• Understanding of WCAG and web accessibility standards.

• Experience contributing to or maintaining a shared UI framework or component library.

• Experience mentoring developers or providing technical guidance within an engineering team.
