Senior FP&A Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as a strategic collaborator with business teams.

• Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, including scenario analysis.

• Create comprehensive and verifiable financial models for forecasts, budgets, and variance assessments.

• Manage monthly closing processes, which include accruals, reclassifications, and reconciliation with the Accounting department.

• Prepare and evaluate the income statement (P&L), balance sheet, and both direct and indirect cash flow statements.

• Detect variances between actual results, forecasts, and budgets, and recommend corrective action plans.

• Construct executive reports and presentations for senior leadership and the Board, utilizing effective storytelling techniques.

• Establish and maintain KPIs linked to the P&L, generating actionable insights.

• Conduct project evaluations to aid in resource allocation decisions.

• Convert strategy into financial forecasts with an analytical and autonomous perspective.

• Confirm sources, cross-verify data, and perform sanity checks.

• Drive initiatives to automate and streamline closing, budgeting, and reporting processes.

• Contribute to the advancement of the FP&A team’s models, controls, and tools, including the integration of AI into analytical workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related area.

• Strong and established experience in FP&A, Financial Planning, or Controllership.

• Comprehensive understanding of Corporate Finance, encompassing the income statement (P&L), balance sheet, and cash flow statement.

• Experience in constructing budgets and forecasts with various scenarios.

• Analytical, independent, and thorough approach.

• Proficient Excel skills, particularly in financial modeling, are essential.

• Advanced skills in PowerPoint, with the capability to craft executive presentations that utilize storytelling.

• Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.

• Familiarity with automating reports and analyses using Python, VBA, or Power Query/M is a plus.

• Knowledge of BI tools is an advantage.

• Experience with AI tools for productivity and financial analysis is a plus.

• Prior experience in the education sector is a beneficial asset.
