Head of Finance – Payments, Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the finance function of the company, along with its processes and financial operating model.

• Choose, implement, and enhance financial management systems, ERP, and automation tools.

• Create robust internal financial controls, approval processes, and ensure proper segregation of duties.

• Guarantee that financial processes adhere to relevant accounting, tax, regulatory, and corporate standards.

• Establish dependable management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management processes.

• Develop procedures for payments, treasury management, reconciliation, invoicing, and financial operations.

• Detect financial and operational risks and implement controls to safeguard the company.

• Ensure the company is prepared for audits and that financial information is accurate and traceable.

• Enhance automation and minimize manual financial processes.

• Collaborate closely with management, Legal, Operations, and other departments.

• Build and lead the finance team as the company expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Director, Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or in a comparable senior finance position.

• Proven track record in building or significantly transforming a finance function within a company.

• In-depth knowledge of financial systems, ERP, internal controls, and finance automation.

• Strong grasp of accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, and financial governance.

• Experience in an international and/or regulated environment is highly preferred.

• Ability to blend strategic financial thinking with practical implementation.

• Solid understanding of how to develop financial processes that are scalable, compliant, and secure.
