Senior FP&A Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Establish an AI-driven Finance function and assist in modernizing logistics for student transportation.

• Oversee the monthly forecasting and budget versus actuals process, providing variance commentary that clarifies business drivers.

• Manage SaaS and company-wide metrics such as ARR, NRR/GRR, CAC payback, Rule of 40, burn multiple, and hardware financing economics.

• Implement and take ownership of Aleph, the AI-integrated financial planning platform.

• Direct go-to-market analytics covering pipeline, funnel conversion, retention, and sales efficiency.

• Prepare materials for board and investor reporting, data room content, and due diligence assistance for fundraising or strategic initiatives.

• Create AI workflows and agents that automate data extraction, variance alerts, recurring analyses, and preliminary commentary with checks and reconciliations.

• Develop scenario and decision-making models for pricing, headcount ROI, and capital allocation.

• Collaborate directly with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Revenue leaders, and the CFO.

• Report to the CFO while assuming significant delegated responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or in a similarly demanding analytical role.

• A strong desire to transition into an operational position.

• A genuine interest in AI and a drive to engage with it.

• Exceptional modeling skills, including the ability to create clean, auditable models from the ground up with transparent assumptions and the capacity to identify model errors.

• Proficiency in SaaS and company-level metrics and their underlying drivers.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to articulate the narrative behind numbers to stakeholders who may not be finance or metrics-oriented.

• Proven track record of independently managing substantial work across multiple simultaneous projects.

• Experience experimenting with AI tools in either personal or professional contexts.

• Familiarity with SaaS or recurring revenue businesses through deal experience or operational roles.

• Background in supporting fundraising efforts or M&A transactions.

• Experience with hardware or tech-enabled companies.
