This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.

• Collaborate with leadership to identify growth priorities, pricing strategies, investment decisions, and expansion opportunities.

• Create transparency into margins, unit economics, customer profitability, and return on investment.

• Convert financial insights into actionable recommendations for commercial and operational teams.

• Oversee cash flow, treasury management, working capital, and liquidity planning.

• Align customer collections, supplier payments, and financing requirements to promote sustainable growth.

• Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial partners.

• Develop the capital structure and lead debt and equity financing processes as necessary.

• Supervise financial due diligence, financing negotiations, and reporting to lenders and investors.

• Oversee accounting functions, financial reporting, tax compliance, audits, and internal controls.

• Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and provide timely, reliable management reports.

• Create scalable processes across billing, collections, payments, and financial systems.

• Enhance controls related to credit exposure, counterparty risk, and energy-related financial commitments.

• Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams on financial obligations within the energy sector.

• Prepare materials for the board and communicate performance, risks, and strategic trade-offs.

• Maintain strong relationships with investors and support readiness for fundraising.

• Introduce financial discipline and provide constructive challenges to significant business decisions.

• Build and nurture a finance team capable of managing increasing scale and complexity.

• Establish clear ownership, accountability, and performance expectations.

• Enhance automation, data quality, and collaboration among finance, technology, commercial, and operations teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or a senior finance leader with significant ownership of financial strategy and operations.

• Proven track record in a growing business, including the establishment or enhancement of the finance function.

• Strong technical expertise in accounting, FP&A, treasury management, working capital, and financial controls.

• Direct experience in raising capital, securing financing, or managing banking and investor relationships.

• Solid commercial judgment and the ability to link financial decisions with business performance.

• Experience managing complex cash cycles, credit exposure, or financially intensive operating models.

• Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial setting, navigating between strategic decisions and operational details.

• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to boards, investors, and senior stakeholders.

• Professional fluency in both Spanish and English.

• Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, energy trading, or other regulated sectors is advantageous; candidates from technology or related industries with strong financial expertise and relevant operational experience are encouraged to apply.
