Senior Financial Analyst

📋 Description

• Assist in both short-term and long-term financial planning, forecasting, and budget management for the Unsecured Lending division.

• Create executive-ready insights and commentary for ongoing forecast and business reviews, month-end closings, and annual planning sessions.

• Evaluate financial and operational performance, pinpoint emerging trends and risks, and perform root-cause analysis when outcomes deviate from expectations.

• Collaborate with department leaders to enhance visibility into key operating expense drivers and trade-offs.

• Enhance financial reporting, systems/tooling, and analytical infrastructure to support accurate and scalable decision-making.

• Work alongside FP&A, Accounting, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure precise forecasting, reporting, and transparency.

• Develop robust financial models, convert business and financial results into actionable insights, and facilitate informed decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of pertinent FP&A experience.

• Advanced expertise in Excel or Google Sheets, including sophisticated financial modeling skills.

• Proven experience in analyzing large datasets and translating financial and business drivers into actionable recommendations.

• Familiarity with developing financial forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, and financial or operational performance reports.

• Capacity to learn swiftly, work autonomously, manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of financial planning and accounting systems such as Adaptive Planning, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

• Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Looker, Tableau, or Mode.

• Familiarity with SQL or a willingness to learn.

• Background in fintech, lending, consumer finance, subscriptions, or technology-enabled marketplaces.

• Strong ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and collaborate effectively across various functions and organizational levels.
