Senior FinOps Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct data analysis and manage financial/FinOps operations.

• Assist in the development of an evolving range of operational activities to enable the system to carry out increasingly sophisticated FinOps functions.

• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of cloud billing discount mechanisms, including Savings Plans and Reserved Instances across various cloud platforms.

• Utilize specialized knowledge in Azure discount mechanisms.

• Evaluate intricate finance, billing, and cloud operations environments.

• Aid in optimizing cloud expenditures through the use of billing discount mechanisms and automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills: identify relevant details and distill the core issue.

• Comfortable with numerical data, interpreting complex charts, and conducting ad hoc spreadsheet analysis.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and precise.

• Demonstrated ownership and independence in addressing deficiencies and challenges.

• Practical experience with FinOps and Azure rate optimization.

• Familiarity with AWS and GCP is advantageous.

• Extensive knowledge of Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, cost and usage data, along with foundational finance and accounting principles.

• Experience with Cloud FinOps tools.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
