This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +6 more locations.
• Act as a senior functional administrator and subject matter expert for Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Design, configure, and sustain planning models, workforce planning, sheets, cube sheets, dimensions, accounts, versions, scenarios, allocations, dashboards, reports, and OfficeConnect outputs.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting on budgeting, forecasting, revenue planning, workforce planning, and driver-based planning requirements.
• Ensure model integrity, data mappings, assumptions, access controls, and integration processes between Workday Financials, payroll data, and Adaptive Planning.
• Diagnose issues related to data loads, mapping discrepancies, calculation logic, model performance, and reporting inaccuracies.
• Offer senior-level functional support for Workday Payroll processes and their implications on Accounting and Finance.
• Assess payroll needs, address production challenges, and implement approved configuration changes.
• Facilitate payroll integrations, manage inbound and outbound files, data validation, reconciliation controls, and issue resolution.
• Develop and implement testing strategies for payroll modifications, regulatory updates, releases, and year-end activities.
• Spearhead the design and delivery of intricate Workday reports for Accounting, Finance, Payroll, and business stakeholders.
• Create and maintain Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports, calculated fields, dashboards, worksheets, and other reporting solutions.
• Verify report outputs against the general ledger, subledgers, payroll results, and planning data.
• Utilize Workday Financials and accounting expertise to support financial close, reconciliations, audit requests, controls, and daily operations.
• Configure and assist business processes, condition rules, validations, notifications, security, and approval routing.
• Provide support for Financial Accounting, Banking and Settlement, Supplier Accounts, Customer Accounts, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, Project Billing, Customer Contracts, Revenue Recognition, and Fixed Assets.
• Assist with data loads and maintenance using EIBs and other authorized Workday tools.
• Help lead enhancements, capability deployments, business process redesign, requirements workshops, testing strategy, and release readiness.
• Create requirements, solution designs, test plans, support documentation, training materials, and change communications.
• Oversee assigned tasks from discovery through stabilization, including scope, risks, dependencies, decisions, status updates, and stakeholder expectations.
• Mentor analysts, conduct workshops, monitor Workday releases, and suggest features that enhance controls, efficiency, user experience, and scalability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field with 4 to 7 years of experience supporting Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, Workday Payroll, and financial reporting.
• Workday or Adaptive Planning certifications or Workday Pro accreditation in relevant areas or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Proven experience with Workday Financials and a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals, including journal entries, general ledger activity, subledgers, accruals, reconciliations, financial statements, and period close.
• Practical experience in administering or configuring Workday Adaptive Planning, including models, dimensions, accounts, versions, scenarios, sheets, reports, dashboards, and OfficeConnect.
• Familiarity with Workday Payroll processes and payroll accounting.
• Advanced experience in Workday reporting, including calculated fields and Advanced, Matrix, or Composite reports.
• Experience in configuring business processes, security, and integrations or data loads within a controlled production environment.
• Ability to lead complex projects, facilitate requirements sessions, develop testing strategies, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred experience supporting US and Canadian payroll, multi-company operations, multiple currencies, or complex organizational structures.
• Preferred experience with Workday Payroll, Financial Accounting, Banking and Settlement, Projects, Project Billing, Revenue, Procurement, Expenses, or Fixed Assets.
• Preferred experience with Prism Analytics, Workday Worksheets, EIBs, web services, or finance and payroll integrations.
• Preferred experience in a regulated environment such as life sciences, clinical research, contract research, or professional services.
