Transportation Analyst – Temporary Assignment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate freight expenses, carrier pricing, and shipment data to uncover potential savings and trends.

• Review and reconcile carrier invoices against quotes, contracts, and shipment records.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of shipment and freight data in SAP and the transportation management system.

• Generate weekly and month-end reports on freight expenditures, carrier performance, and on-time delivery rates.

• Assist Transportation Coordinators with rate quotations, carrier selection, and resolution of shipment issues.

• Monitor open shipments and escalate any delays or exceptions to the appropriate teams.

• Collaborate with Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, and carrier partners to address billing and delivery challenges.

• Carry out additional duties as required or assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in transportation, freight, or logistics analysis.

• Knowledge of freight invoice auditing, carrier pricing, and LTL and FTL shipping methods.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups, along with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

• Familiarity with SAP or a similar ERP system, as well as a transportation management system.

• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to meet month-end deadlines.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills with internal teams and carrier partners.

• Availability to work core business hours in the Pacific time zone.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Experience in manufacturing, energy, or shipping of industrial equipment.

• Knowledge of customs documentation and cross-border shipping processes.
