Senior Financial Controller, German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Offer financial and strategic insights regarding business transactions, measures, projects, innovative technologies, business models, and market trends.

• Oversee strategic planning activities for designated business units.

• Conduct planning and forecasting tasks in key strategic areas.

• Create forecasting models and long-term scenario analyses for business model enhancement.

• Lead, manage, and execute financial oversight of group-wide financial KPIs.

• Produce executive management summary reports at the local business unit level.

• Examine essential financial metrics on a month-to-date, year-to-date, and year-over-year basis, including actuals, forecasts, and budgets.

• Execute account management tasks, encompassing month-end closures, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Carry out project management tasks, including budgeting and forecasting.

• Analyze, compute, and record financial transactions such as accruals, revenues, costs, reconciliations, order entries, and order backlogs.

• Conduct month-end and year-end financial closings.

• Coordinate relevant global closing processes within the assigned scope of responsibilities.

• Act as the primary source of knowledge and operational expertise without disciplinary oversight.

• Potentially oversee the operations of assigned team members.

• Master's degree in Economics.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the finance industry.

• Expert-level proficiency in MS Office.

• Advanced proficiency in SAP.

• Intermediate skills in Power BI.

• Exceptional analytical abilities, ownership mentality, and time management skills.

• Strong communication and organizational capabilities.

• Advanced skills in result analysis, reporting, and financial process oversight.

• Proficient in budgeting, planning, and data analytics.

• German language proficiency at a minimum B2 level.

• English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level.

• Capability to work remotely from within Slovakia.
