Area Reservation Rooms Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits of reservations across various properties to ensure correct room assignments, billing requirements, and other relevant details.

• Oversee inboxes for bookings, modifications, and cancellations while completing the reservation procedures in SynXis.

• Assess reservations for quality and precision, and follow up on any discrepancies found.

• Process cancellation reports and issue accurate refunds when necessary.

• Review forthcoming reservations and ensure remaining deposit balances are completed.

• Enhance revenue through upgrade opportunities and maintain daily inventory balances.

• Monitor length-of-stay restrictions and adjust availability as needed.

• Examine group room inventory and liaise with the Group Reservation Coordinator (GRC) and Sales Teams.

• Keep updated knowledge of regional properties, including room types, experiences, rates, and specific property details.

• Update guest profiles with stay history, special occasions, preferences, and other relevant information.

• Share guest details with pre-arrival teams to enhance personalization of experiences.

• Align back-to-back check-in/check-out reservations to prevent guest issues.

• Attend daily meetings as necessary.

• Periodically maintain property deposit ledgers.

• Execute administrative tasks assigned by Area Reservations Leadership.

• Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the organization.

• Keep department heads informed of issues to ensure timely resolution and guest satisfaction.


⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding follow-through and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Google Suites.

• Experience with Opera.

• Pleasant, articulate, and professional communication skills via phone and email.

• Ability to articulate thoughts clearly, confidently, and thoughtfully to effectively represent the property.

• Capability to work independently with self-direction as well as collaboratively in a remote team environment.

• Competence in multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to make precise decisions that support resort operations.

• Professional representation of the resort and interaction with other teams and clients in a polished, responsible, and timely manner.

• Ability to accurately and promptly communicate information to operational departments.

• Knowledge of Auberge Collection culture and the New England region is a plus.

• Dependability, reliability, and a sense of urgency in task management.
