Senior Financial Analyst, Deal Desk – Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and manage intricate financial documents that track customer incentive programs along with related revenue adjustments.

• Collaborate with the GTM organization to design customer financial incentives aimed at driving additional revenue.

• Create quarterly post-mortems to evaluate the effectiveness of incentives, assess accretive revenue, and inform future deal desk strategies.

• Analyze strategic initiatives and assist senior leadership in decision-making through financial modeling.

• Respond to data requests linked to high-impact initiatives and clarify business composition and operational drivers.

• Monitor revenue adjustments and project adjusted revenue for ongoing or anticipated deals.

• Work in partnership with Accounting during monthly and quarterly closings to guarantee accurate and prompt financial reporting.

• Manage the primary KPI file utilized for Board meetings, strategic planning, and business reviews.

• Engage cross-functionally with sales, accounting, analytics, corporate FP&A, and other departments.

• Reconcile data from various sources and enhance financial models and tracking processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance or a related field).

• Over 5 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.

• Previous experience in corporate development, accounting, investment banking, strategy, a finance development program, deal desk, or consulting is advantageous.

• Highly skilled in Excel / Google Sheets with strong modeling capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient in managing complex files while enhancing efficiency and usability.

• Highly organized, capable of juggling multiple projects and competing priorities across various stakeholders.

• Familiarity with accounting/financial statements and experience in valuation is a plus.

• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong business acumen with a keen interest in understanding the underlying business.

• Ability to comprehend complex data and present it clearly, including through data visualization.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

• Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Looker, or similar data visualization tools.

• Willingness to work during the Pacific time zone.
