Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist PMIC leadership by providing financial analysis, reporting, and planning across critical areas.

• Take ownership of the annual budgeting and planning process for PMIC.

• Collaborate with the Accounting department to assess monthly and quarterly results.

• Create financial forecasts for the upcoming quarter and the remainder of the year.

• Produce monthly and quarterly management reports, including trend analyses, commentaries, and visualizations.

• Gather and compile monthly and quarterly reports on industry peer performance and metrics.

• Recognize drivers and trends within financial and business metrics.

• Prepare financial insights for review and discussion by senior management.

• Assist in the design and implementation of internal financial reporting frameworks alongside the Accounting team.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in FP&A, including at least 1 year within the insurance sector.

• Experience in the P&C Insurance industry is mandatory.

• Relevant industry and/or professional certifications are required.

• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) is essential.

• Proven experience in utilizing advanced data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, and PowerBI.

• Familiarity with emerging AI-driven solutions for extracting insights, automating reporting, and facilitating data-informed decision-making.

• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

• Ability to distill complex financial data into concise, executive-level insights.

• Capacity to locate and analyze data to aid senior management decision-making.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects effectively.

• Strong process orientation with a commitment to continuous improvement.
