Senior Financial Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Generate monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow reports, and management summaries across various entities.

• Oversee month-end closing procedures, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and the maintenance of financial records.

• Assist in financial consolidation across multiple clinical entities and business divisions.

• Handle intercompany transactions and their reconciliations.

• Manage daily finance systems, including Xero and Hubdoc.

• Enhance accounting procedures, workflows, and automate reporting processes.

• Prepare BAS workpapers, payroll-related documentation, financial schedules, and year-end accounting files.

• Collaborate with external accountants and advisors on compliance, audits, and statutory reporting.

• Analyze financial data, operating expenses, provider payments, and business performance indicators.

• Offer insights regarding costs, profit margins, and financial trends.

• Process and review invoices, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable activities, and other financial transactions.

• Uphold robust internal controls.

• Work alongside the internal team to ensure timely service delivery and meet client expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA, CA, or an internationally recognized equivalent is preferred.

• Substantial Australian accounting experience and a solid understanding of Australian accounting practices.

• Knowledgeable in BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and statutory compliance requirements.

• 5–10 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years supporting Australian companies.

• Experience in multi-entity settings, healthcare, professional services, retail, or similar sectors is highly advantageous.

• Strong practical experience with Xero and Hubdoc.

• Experience with accounting systems, financial reporting tools, and workflow automation is preferred.

• Familiarity with Dental4Windows, Carestack, or ERP systems is considered a plus.

• Background in month-end closing, reconciliations, journal preparation, financial reporting, consolidation support, and maintaining precise financial records.

• Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills.

• Comfortable collaborating with external accountants, management teams, and operational stakeholders.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Capable of working independently in a hands-on accounting role.

• Ability to take ownership of designated finance processes.
