Senior Finance Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and consistently enhance scalable financial frameworks, methodologies, controls, and standardized processes.

• Manage the complete invoice reconciliation, processing, and ensure vendor invoice compliance.

• Oversee detailed project cost tracking and attribution across various cost centers.

• Generate monthly management reports, quarterly rolling forecasts, and financial packages for quarterly business reviews.

• Spearhead commercial finance initiatives, including pricing strategies, business case development, cost analysis, and profitability evaluations.

• Take ownership of the revenue cycle for billable client work, which encompasses billing milestone tracking, invoicing, and accounts receivable oversight.

• Supervise cash flow and liquidity planning in collaboration with Holtzbrinck Treasury.

• Assist Founders and the Head of Operations with financial analysis, scenario modeling, and decision-making support.

• Discover opportunities to automate and enhance finance workflows, reporting, and data quality utilizing modern tools and AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in finance operations, FP&A, controlling, commercial finance, or a similar finance role.

• Strong comprehension of financial statements, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

• Practical experience in constructing financial models and converting complex financial data into clear business insights.

• Experience in project-, product-, or business-unit-level cost allocation, margin analysis, and profitability monitoring.

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage financial processes and enhance or establish structures within a growing organization.

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to link financial performance with operational and strategic business decisions.

• Familiarity with ERP, accounting, expense management, or financial planning systems, along with reconciling data from multiple sources.

• High level of accuracy and financial discipline, coupled with pragmatism and speed in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong stakeholder management capabilities and confidence in engaging with senior leadership and external or Group finance functions.

• Excellent communication skills in English and German (minimum B2 level).

• Proactive and self-organized working style with a strong sense of ownership and eagerness to tackle ambiguous challenges.
