This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Reconcile payroll-deduction files and payment records against the contract portfolio, ensuring accuracy by comparing the installment due, amount deducted, and amount remitted.
• Identify, categorize, and resolve discrepancies such as partial deductions, undeducted installments, unremitted amounts, deduction suspensions, severance payments, and fees.
• Monitor outstanding items, facilitate resolutions with customers and partners, and guarantee closure within the applicable accounting month.
• Calculate, confirm, and oversee amounts owed to partners and other counterparties in compliance with contractual agreements.
• Oversee the billing cycle for services and consultations.
• Identify mismatches between collection and payment terms and indicate potential cash exposure risks.
• Track portfolio delinquency, guarantee enforcement, and adhere to critical deadlines.
• Design, document, and implement processes and controls for reconciliation, remittance, billing, and guarantee management.
• Define reporting and dashboard requirements in collaboration with Product and Technology, assist in system acceptance testing, and validate new workflows.
• Identify repetitive manual tasks and suggest opportunities for automation, prioritizing based on risk and volume.
• Provide support for core finance routines, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with teams in Product, Technology, Operations, and Accounting, reporting directly to the Head of Credit Products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in high-volume reconciliation, including return files, financial movements, or transactions.
• Solid understanding of accounting and finance operations.
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets, including skills in VLOOKUP/INDEX+MATCH, SUMIFS, pivot tables, and data preparation.
• Comfortable working with data, including reading and manipulating CSV files and fixed-width layouts.
• Familiarity with Google Drive and Notion.
• Preferred: experience with SQL and API consumption/integration.
• Preferred but not mandatory: experience in payroll-deducted lending, financial institutions, securitization companies, FIDCs, or credit fintechs, especially in back-office operations, settlement, portfolio assignment, or guarantee management.
• Experience in documenting processes, such as flowcharts, SOPs, and control matrices.
• Strong numerical accuracy.
• Productive skepticism when analyzing data.
• Ability to conceptualize processes and identify root causes.
• Autonomy and organizational skills to manage routines with strict deadlines.
