Senior Finance & Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the monthly closing process, aiming for T+7.

• Create Profit & Loss statements by service line/project, as well as balance sheets and cash flow statements.

• Oversee accounting operations, which include the chart of accounts, billing, accounts receivable/accounts payable, cash management, payroll supervision, and fixed assets.

• Develop and apply revenue recognition policies for time and materials, fixed-fee, and managed services contracts.

• Supervise tax submissions, payroll responsibilities, audits, statutory reporting, and internal controls.

• Handle multi-entity and multi-currency accounting, including consolidations and intercompany transactions.

• Prepare management reporting packages, KPI reports, board presentations, and investor-ready dashboards.

• Lead migrations of ERP, PSA, and accounting systems.

• Optimize Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay processes.

• Create and manage approval matrices, maker-checker controls, role-based access, and standard operating procedure documentation.

• Collaborate with tax advisors, auditors, payroll agencies, and compliance experts.

• Establish and guide Shuru’s finance team and functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.

• A combination of experience in Big 4 or public accounting along with in-house roles in IT services or consulting firms.

• Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS.

• Experience in project-based accounting.

• Background in managing multi-currency and multi-entity operations.

• Must have completed the Chartered Accountant (CA) course.

• Demonstrated experience in revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15).

• Experience in establishing scalable accounting processes.

• Proven success in implementing finance systems (ERP, PSA, billing, etc.).

• Background in enhancing operational efficiency.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Familiarity with Zoho Books/Finance or similar platforms.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to function cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.

• Comfortable in building and managing a high-performing finance team.
