Senior Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide direction and support to the team to achieve designated objectives.

• Carry out installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution systems.

• Implement projects related to startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery systems.

• Work with transformers, switchgear, OCBs, circuit breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, relays, and power management control systems.

• Oversee outages alongside field engineers, technicians, contractors, project managers, and site engineers.

• Manage projects and lead site engineering initiatives.

• Compose technical reports, order materials, obtain quotations, and prepare job status reports, customer reports, timesheets, and expense reports.

• Plan, prepare, and/or deliver internal and external training programs.

• Share and promote field engineering and product knowledge in the area of expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma with 8 years of relevant engineering/field experience.

• Additional formal education may be considered as a substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 75% of the time.

• Experience in repairing and refurbishing LV and MV circuit breakers is preferred.

• Technical expertise in testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines is preferred.

• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
