This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop and implement agency and sales strategies by recruiting and motivating new agents while strengthening current agency relationships.
• Provide support for Middle Market, Small Commercial, and Specialty lines within the commercial sector, including Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, and Commercial Package.
• Create and oversee territorial/state agency plans.
• Facilitate the agency/territorial review process.
• Oversee the complete appointment lifecycle: prospecting, soliciting, appointing, developing, and evaluating agents.
• Manage components of the customer bonus plan.
• Lead Agency Production Initiatives through marketing tools and submission activities to achieve territorial goals.
• Set and track customer commitments, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Formulate and track territorial/state line-of-business growth strategies.
• Assess profitability using loss ratios and return on sales metrics.
• Direct loyalty and retention programs while fostering relationships with agencies, industry colleagues, trade associations, and internal teams.
• Organize territory activities, breakfast meetings, training sessions, and product fairs.
• Update producers on new merchandising opportunities and product improvements.
• Implement special projects, including rate reviews and new safety group or mass merchandising initiatives.
• Educate customers regarding products, automation, forms, brochures, and company procedures.
• Assist in the creation of new product/program P&C proposals.
• Collect competitive marketing intelligence related to pricing, coverages, and market actions.
• Perform additional assigned tasks while adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in P&C Commercial Lines marketing or underwriting is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry, encompassing competitors, trends, and best practices.
• Proven capacity to effectively lead talent towards a unified objective.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred or equivalent experience is acceptable.
• Advanced insurance education such as INS, AU, CPCU, or a strong commitment to pursuing insurance education is highly recommended.
• This is a field-based role located in Virginia.
• Full-time salaried, exempt position (not eligible for overtime).
