This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop and implement agency and sales strategies.
• Attract and motivate new agents while strengthening current agency partnerships.
• Provide support for Middle Market, Small Commercial, and Specialist commercial insurance segments.
• Create and oversee territorial/state agency plans.
• Facilitate the agency and territorial review process.
• Manage the complete appointment cycle: prospecting, soliciting, appointing, developing, and evaluating.
• Oversee the components of the customer bonus plan.
• Direct Agency Production Initiatives through marketing resources and submission activities.
• Set and track customer commitments and initiate corrective measures as needed.
• Formulate and supervise territorial/state line-of-business growth strategies.
• Assess profitability utilizing loss ratios and return on sales metrics.
• Spearhead loyalty and retention programs while nurturing agency relationships.
• Cultivate connections with industry professionals, trade associations, and internal teams.
• Organize territory breakfasts, training sessions, and product fairs.
• Update producers on merchandising opportunities and product improvements.
• Conduct rate assessments and coordinate special initiatives.
• Educate customers regarding products, automation, forms, brochures, and company protocols.
• Assist with new product/program property-and-casualty proposals.
• Collect competitive intelligence concerning pricing, coverages, and market developments.
• Adhere to corporate policies and procedures while fulfilling other assigned responsibilities.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in P&C Commercial Lines marketing or underwriting is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance sector, including competitors, trends, and best practices.
• Proven capability to lead talent effectively towards shared objectives.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Substantial insurance education, such as INS, AU, CPCU, or a strong willingness to pursue insurance education is highly recommended.
• Candidates who do not meet the specified experience or education requirements may be considered for the Field Sales Representative position.
• Must be capable of performing a full-time salaried, exempt role.
