Senior Field Risk Engineering Consultant

📋 Description

• Serve as a strategic risk advisor for clients.

• Recognize emerging risks and collaborate to develop effective risk mitigation strategies.

• Customize recommendations based on each client’s industry, risk profile, and business objectives.

• Perform comprehensive risk assessments and consultations utilizing onsite, hybrid, and virtual/digital delivery methods.

• Create and implement data-driven service plans to address loss drivers, operational risks, and client goals.

• Convert complex technical findings into understandable insights for clients, agents, and underwriting partners.

• Utilize dashboards, virtual tools, analytics, AI-driven insights, and other innovative technologies.

• Contribute to innovation, knowledge sharing, and ongoing improvement within Risk Engineering.

• Work collaboratively with underwriting, claims, sales, data, and technical specialists.

• Identify opportunities to enhance Risk Services offerings and foster profitable growth.

• Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of industry trends, emerging risks, and technologies.

• Mentor, coach, and assist less experienced risk engineering consultants as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in risk engineering, safety, loss control, or related consulting positions.

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) is highly preferred in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, Environmental Health, or another related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• High School diploma is mandatory.

• Strong capability to evaluate risk, analyze loss data, identify trends, and formulate targeted mitigation strategies.

• Comfortable utilizing digital tools, analytics, and technology-driven platforms.

• Proven customer-centric approach.

• Ability to provide proactive consultation and drive the adoption of recommendations.

• Strong skills in storytelling with data.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in preparing technical reports and delivering presentations to clients.

• Ability to collaborate across underwriting, claims, sales, agents, brokers, and technical partners.

• Digital fluency and eagerness to learn and adopt new tools, platforms, and AI-enabled capabilities.

• Commitment to continuous learning and enhancing technical and consultative skills.

• Capability to achieve or maintain at least one professional safety or risk management certification, such as CSP, CIH, ARM, CPCU, or CHST.
