This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Oversee the complete process of contracting and negotiation with hospital purchasing groups and pharmacists.
• Achieve formulary inclusion, preferred positioning, and volume-based agreements.
• Strategically map, prioritize, and manage interactions with buying groups and key hospital accounts.
• Create customized contracting proposals that incorporate clinical evidence, pharmacoeconomic value, pricing strategies, supply commitments, and value-added services.
• Administer the entire contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and performance evaluations.
• Keep a centralized pipeline to monitor contract status, renewal timelines, tender risks, and access decisions.
• Foster and maintain relationships with procurement leaders, hospital pharmacists, and institutional stakeholders.
• Design and implement unique access strategies for hematology and solid tumor portfolios.
• Collaborate with Market Access & Pricing to ensure alignment of national pricing and reimbursement strategies with local contract execution.
• Formulate local pricing strategies and financial scenarios, establish walk-away thresholds, and structure contracts accordingly.
• Oversee the contracting processes, including drafting, validation, execution, and compliance oversight.
• Prepare tender submissions and ensure documentation is ready for audits.
• Collaborate with Key Account Managers to address account-level access challenges and support account planning.
• Ensure that contracting activities adhere to regulatory, legal, and company standards.
• Maintain precise reporting of adverse events, product issues, and medical inquiries.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, health economics, business, finance, or equivalent substantial professional experience in pharmaceutical contracting, pricing, procurement, and market access.
• Over 7 years of directly relevant experience in pharmaceutical market access, hospital contracting, procurement engagement, tender management, pricing strategy, or health economics.
• Proven experience leading pharmaceutical contract negotiations with hospital buying groups, procurement organizations, hospital pharmacists, or institutional budget holders.
• Proficient in developing, interpreting, and managing pricing models, volume assumptions, discount scenarios, financial impact analyses, and negotiation walk-away thresholds.
• Extensive knowledge of hospital procurement landscapes, buying group structures, financial frameworks, and hospital drug budget processes.
• Experience collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Market Access, and Commercial stakeholders.
• Background in preparing, coordinating, or contributing to tender submissions, contracting proposals, business cases, or access dossiers.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
• Familiarity with CRM, tender tracking, contract lifecycle management, or similar systems.
• Capability to function as a specialist contracting partner to KAMs and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Dutch (native or near-native) and professional English.
• Valid driver's license.
• Highly preferred: direct experience with major buying groups or equivalent procurement networks.
• Highly preferred: formal education or certification in health economics or market access.
• Highly preferred: experience in oncology and/or hematology market access and contracting.
• Highly preferred: experience in a cross-functional matrix environment.
