Senior Field Applications Engineer – m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Establish essential technical relationships with key accounts and showcase technical expertise in NI solutions.

• Comprehend and assist in formulating customer technical requirements.

• Suggest software and hardware architectures while guiding customers on subsequent actions.

• Work alongside NI Account Managers to create and implement account technical strategies.

• Offer insights into the overall account strategy and pipeline.

• Collaborate with internal technical stakeholders on account technical initiatives.

• Provide feedback to enhance account success.

• Utilize industry, application-area, and account knowledge to identify and influence future customer technical needs.

• Drive additional technical demand for NI products, services, and support.

• Cultivate trusted customer relationships through technical consultation and solution-oriented engagement.

• Contribute to knowledge sharing, innovation, and ongoing improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

• Experience in applying engineering, testing, measurement, automation, or software development principles in a professional setting.

• Programming experience that supports technical solutions, applications, or systems development.

• Willingness and capability to travel to meet customer and business requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Commitment to delivering customer-centric solutions while collaborating across functions.

• Preferred: Degree concentration in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

• Preferred: Familiarity with NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and the NI PXI platform, including developer certifications.

• Preferred: Proficiency in English with strong oral and written communication skills.

• Preferred: Advanced skills in LabVIEW, .NET, Python, C++, or C#.

• Preferred: Advanced FPGA development experience using VHDL or LabVIEW FPGA.

• Preferred: Background in a customer-facing role.

• Preferred: Experience in contributing to organizational, account, or engagement strategies.

• Preferred: Ability to integrate business, operational, and interpersonal factors into technical engagements.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting automated testing, validation, instrumentation, or measurement applications.
