This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise site operations for the installation and commissioning of HRSG and related equipment.
• Assist the Erector in the installation of HRSG components, piping, and auxiliary systems.
• Interpret construction sketches and drawings, ensuring that installation adheres to specifications and sequencing.
• Evaluate HRSG installation method statements for safety and efficacy.
• Document commercial and technical discrepancies through quality records and non-conformance reports, ensuring follow-up until resolution.
• Confirm that subcontractors and partners provide inspection test plans, reports, and quality documentation for system turnover certification.
• Aid in resolving technical issues with GE Vernova engineering and submit Engineering Request cases for installation clarification.
• Review welding documentation prior to the commencement of welding activities.
• Enforce safety protocols for heavy lifting and assess installation-company lifting plans.
• Ensure that HRSG piping installation and testing comply with project specifications.
• Oversee hydrotests and subsequent preservation after hydrotesting.
• Validate cleaning methodologies, chemical cleaning processes, and safety valve settings.
• Ensure that test-media waste disposal aligns with local environmental regulations.
• Identify and address cross-disciplinary site interferences during installation and testing phases.
• Provide progress reports to the Construction Manager, Site Manager, and TK/SI Installation Leader.
• Prepare and conduct HRSG tests, performance assessments, and reliability runs.
• Utilize P&IDs for system verification checks.
• Support the setup, testing, and logical checks of instrumentation.
• 5–15 years of experience in Project Management, Construction, and Commissioning.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED combined with at least 16 years of experience in relevant Job Family Group(s)/Function(s).
• Skilled in interpreting sketches, drawings, and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Familiarity with HRSG installation, piping, auxiliary systems, testing, hydrotests, chemical cleaning, and safety valve settings.
• Understanding of welding documentation, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and welder qualifications.
• Capability to review lifting plans and enforce safety protocols for heavy lifting.
• Proficient in using reporting system tools and submitting Engineering Request (ER) cases.
• Adept in computer tools for project management and communication.
• Ability to thrive in diverse and multicultural settings.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
