This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as a reliable technical consultant to strategic clients, guiding decisions regarding system architecture, technology choices, and product integration.
• Collaborate with sales teams to assess customer requirements, shape technical strategies, and promote design-in and design-win initiatives.
• Assist customers throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial architecture discussions and proof of concept to production launch and post-sales assistance.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for customers and partners.
• Evaluate customer needs and recommend the best product applications, system architectures, software, firmware, interfaces, logic, IP integration, and implementation strategies.
• Facilitate customer discussions regarding high-speed interface choices, SoC integration, IP blocks, FPGA or programmable logic development, and system-level compromises.
• Provide insights and feedback from customers and the market to engineering, product management, and R&D teams to influence product roadmaps and future solution development.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues, escalating to engineering teams when necessary.
• Foster trusting relationships with technical stakeholders, engineering leaders, and decision-makers at client sites.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, competitive products, industry standards, and market trends pertinent to customer designs.
• Mentor and offer technical support to junior FAEs and other team members.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 7 years of relevant design or applications experience in embedded systems, hardware, software, firmware, networking, Ethernet, FPGA, security, SoCs, or related semiconductor technologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of high-speed digital technologies and interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, CXL, high-speed SerDes, SoC architectures, or related board- and system-level design considerations.
• Proficient in understanding customer requirements related to processor, memory, connectivity, acceleration, and peripheral integration within complex embedded or SoC-based systems.
• Demonstrated history of guiding multiple hardware, firmware, software, or embedded systems designs from concept to production.
• Experience collaborating directly with customers, suppliers, sales teams, or cross-functional stakeholders to explain technology, resolve technical issues, or influence design choices.
• Comfortable presenting technical ideas, leading architectural discussions, and converting customer needs into actionable engineering solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, adept at engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
