Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Travel to client facilities across Texas to carry out preventive maintenance.

• Calibrate precision testing instruments.

• Diagnose and repair equipment issues.

• Install and commission new systems.

• Identify mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.

• Offer technical guidance and practical training to clients.

• Ensure completion of precise service documentation, field reports, and expense reports.

• Uphold professionalism and client satisfaction during service interactions.

• Adhere to both company and client safety protocols.

• Provide support to clients throughout Texas, with occasional travel to other regions for training, customer assistance, or special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.

• Military technical experience or trade school education may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• Strong skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.

• Comfortable utilizing Windows-based computers and technical software.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service abilities.

• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Previous experience in field service is preferred.

• Experience in preventive or corrective maintenance on electro-mechanical or servo-hydraulic systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with materials testing systems is preferred.

• Experience in delivering technical training to clients in both hands-on and classroom environments is preferred.

• Background in industrial automation or controls is preferred.

• Must be able to travel daily throughout Houston and Texas.

• Willingness to commit to approximately 75% routine overnight travel and occasional travel beyond the region.
