Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Travel to client locations across the continental United States, primarily focusing on the East Coast, to service Alma Lasers equipment.

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.

• Offer Level 2 technical support to customers over the phone.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues with malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment.

• Repair equipment post-diagnosis.

• Interpret diagrams and schematics to conduct full board replacements as necessary.

• Conduct tests on machines after repairs to confirm proper functionality.

• Maintain and complete necessary repair documentation.

• Provide Level 2 assistance via phone to both customers and internal staff.

• Comply with company safety and health regulations.

• Perform low-voltage electrical repairs using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and various hand tools.

• Schedule appointments for preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations.

• Work in conjunction with the Client Relations team to address customer concerns.

• Carry out device calibration with specified test equipment, such as power meters.

• Mentor and support other field service personnel.

• Create troubleshooting documentation for the Client Relations team.

• Assist in mentoring colleagues and other departments as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience.

• Over 4 years of Field Service experience.

• Preferred experience in component-level repairs.

• Familiarity with ISO 13485 certification is preferred.

• A positive attitude towards job responsibilities and the Alma team.

• Capability to read diagrams and schematics.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States will be required.

• Willingness to travel 75–90% as necessary.

• Capability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.

• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
