This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Travel to customer locations across Texas
• Conduct preventive maintenance
• Calibrate instruments
• Diagnose and repair equipment
• Install and commission new systems
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems
• Offer technical support and hands-on training to clients
• Complete service documentation, field reports, and expense reports
• Uphold professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction during service visits
• Adhere to company and customer safety protocols
• Assist customers with occasional travel outside the region for training, support, or special projects
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar technical discipline is preferred
• Military technical experience or vocational training may be accepted in lieu of a degree
• Proficient mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
• Capability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams
• Comfortable using Windows-based computers and technical software
• Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight
• Prior field service experience is a plus
• Experience in preventive or corrective maintenance on electro-mechanical or servo-hydraulic equipment is advantageous
• Familiarity with materials testing systems is beneficial
• Experience in providing technical training to customers is a plus
• Background in industrial automation or controls is an asset
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas and occasionally to other regions
• Expect approximately 75% routine overnight travel
