Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Visit customer locations to conduct preventive maintenance

• Calibrate various types of equipment

• Diagnose and rectify equipment issues

• Install and commission new systems

• Identify mechanical, electrical, and software-related challenges

• Offer technical assistance and practical training to clients

• Accurately complete service documentation, field reports, and expense reports

• Uphold professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction during service visits

• Adhere to company and customer safety protocols

• Provide support to clients throughout New Jersey, with occasional travel to other areas as required by business needs

• Travel daily across Oregon, Washington, and Idaho

• Participate in approximately 10% routine overnight travel, with potential additional travel outside the region for training, customer support, or special projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline

• Military technical experience or vocational training may be accepted in lieu of a degree

• Proficient mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities

• Capability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams

• Comfortable using Windows-based computers and technical software

• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills

• Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight

• Prior field service experience is preferred

• Experience in preventive or corrective maintenance on electro-mechanical or servo-hydraulic systems

• Familiarity with materials testing systems

• Experience in delivering technical training to clients in both hands-on and classroom environments

• Background in industrial automation or controls is advantageous
