Senior Export Control Expert – Defence & Military Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Conduct independent assessments of export control issues at both national and international levels within the defense sector.

• Oversee BAFA authorizations and licensing processes, ensuring adherence to legal compliance.

• Facilitate international exports and transfers of military goods across the EU and to non-EU countries.

• Review and implement Global Licences, General Licences, and Individual Licences effectively.

• Perform end-user and consignee evaluations, considering re-export restrictions and End User Certificates.

• Enhance Internal Compliance Programmes, carry out audits, and incorporate export control requirements into procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in business law, law, business administration, international business, industrial engineering, or a related field.

• Professional experience in Export Control, Trade Compliance, or related export regulations.

• Familiarity with German export control regulations.

• Significant experience in the aerospace and defense sector or a similar military environment.

• Proven experience with BAFA, including authorization and license management, as well as the handling of military goods.

• Understanding of international transfer, export, and supply chain processes.

• Experience with Internal Compliance Programs, audits, and internal control systems.

• Proficient English language skills suitable for professional negotiations.

• Knowledge of German is advantageous but not mandatory.
