This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of the complete event portfolio, experience, and execution model for the Higher Education and K-12 markets.
• Develop and sustain the annual event strategy and calendar informed by buyer and influencer insights.
• Discover and secure speaking engagements with key institutional decision-makers.
• Conceptualize, establish, and expand the event function and operational framework.
• Direct pre-event planning, onsite experiences, and post-event follow-up activities.
• Oversee objectives, audience/account targeting, logistics, promotion, booth/environment design, staffing, programming, reporting, lead handoff, and nurturing.
• Collaborate with speakers and content creators on sessions, booth materials, collateral, messaging, and product positioning.
• Work alongside Sales and Customer Success for staffing, preparation, enablement, and account-based event outreach.
• Revamp event workflows utilizing AI, content production, attendee/account targeting, and post-event analytics.
• Supervise a Coordinator and an external operations/logistics agency.
• Manage vendor relationships, including venues, production, booth/signage, promotional items, registration, and lead-capture platforms.
• Negotiate vendor scopes while ensuring budget adherence and timeline accountability.
• Oversee and control the events budget and prioritize investments.
• Collaborate with Brand, Product Marketing, and Marketing Operations teams.
• Supervise lead capture, routing, attribution, and reporting systems.
• Present event performance and ROI metrics to marketing and sales leadership.
• Foster continuous improvement by assessing what to scale, modify, or eliminate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in B2B event marketing.
• Proven experience in developing or significantly expanding an event program from inception.
• Preferred experience in higher education, K-12, or healthcare sectors.
• Demonstrated success in managing the complete event lifecycle for both owned and third-party events.
• Experience overseeing an agency or outsourced operations partner.
• Proven ability to manage multiple vendor relationships concurrently.
• Experience in people management or a demonstrated readiness to manage and mentor a direct report.
• Proficient in using AI tools relevant to marketing/event workflows, including content generation, research, targeting, and reporting.
• Possess a growth marketing mindset with the capability to test, measure, and iterate.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and marketing automation/ABM platforms such as HubSpot and 6sense.
• Knowledge of event technology such as Zuant and Goldcast or similar tools.
• Strategic and hands-on operational skills with strong creative, execution, project management, and time management abilities.
• Excellent collaborative communication skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a dynamic, growth-stage environment.
