Senior Event Manager – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in mid-stream planning for GDC, Unite, and additional first-party events.

• Assume responsibility for established timelines and project milestones or create new ones.

• Oversee and negotiate with vendors in areas such as AV/production, food and beverage, rentals, and experiential builds.

• Evaluate existing contracts and promptly address any sourcing gaps.

• Develop and manage comprehensive load-in/load-out schedules, run-of-show documents, and onsite staffing plans.

• Possibly execute onsite by coordinating crews, resolving live issues, and managing logistics.

• Collaborate closely with the senior team to ensure regional user events and third-party events meet brand standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of demonstrated experience in high-impact B2B events, particularly large-scale global user conferences or roadshows.

• Profound understanding of the event lifecycle and capability to manage intricate logistics from Day 1 without extensive training.

• Proven history of sourcing and managing large-scale production and hospitality partners under tight deadlines.

• Expert-level proficiency in creating run-of-show documents, floorplans, and technical production schedules.

• Immediate proficiency in Google Workspace and Splash or similar registration platforms.

• Highly organized and proactive; comfortable entering a fast-paced environment mid-project.

• Adequate knowledge of English for professional verbal and written communication.

• Ability to manage and negotiate with AV/production, food and beverage, rentals, and experiential-build vendors.
