Senior Estimator – Life Sciences Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create cost plans and estimates from the initial concept through detailed design phases across various geographical locations, collaborating with both internal and external teams.

• Present and deliver updated cost plans at key design milestones.

• Generate program-level estimates for specific scopes of work.

• Coordinate, manage, and oversee support staff effectively.

• Evaluate proposed design modifications and emerging technologies, preparing estimates that meet appropriate accuracy standards.

• Analyze and summarize cost data from completed projects to inform cost model trends.

• Assess the cost-effectiveness of alternative products and value engineering proposals at the program level.

• Assist in training Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools and templates.

• Aid in the preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s Preconstruction and Estimating team.

• Provide Life Cycle Costing models.

• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field in construction.

• At least 5–7 years of relevant experience.

• Background in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Cost Controls.

• Experience in delivering conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or similar firm.

• Proven experience in supporting large-scale construction projects and programs.

• Strong understanding of technical aspects of the construction industry, including value management and value engineering.

• Exceptional communication skills.
