Commercial Construction Estimator – Framing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive quantity takeoffs for commercial framing and construction initiatives.

• Create precise and competitive estimates and bids.

• Analyze construction drawings, plans, specifications, and project scope.

• Prepare and oversee RFIs, submittals, revisions, and updates to bids.

• Engage with vendors to gather pricing and project details.

• Collaborate with subcontractors regarding project scope, pricing, and requirements.

• Offer general pre-construction assistance and analysis.

• Interact directly with clients and project stakeholders as needed.

• Manage multiple estimating tasks and support high-volume bidding processes.

• Complete estimates in line with project volume while ensuring accuracy.

• Utilize construction software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, ProConnect, Procore, Revit, and AutoCAD.

• Keep organized estimating documentation and project records.

• Identify gaps in scope, discrepancies, and potential risks in estimating.

• Work alongside leadership and project teams to ensure successful project bids.

• Independently handle estimates from takeoff to bid submission.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction estimating.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent practical experience in commercial estimating.

• Necessary experience in commercial construction projects; residential-only experience is insufficient.

• Exceptional skills in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

• Experience in conducting detailed quantity takeoffs and preparing bids.

• Familiarity with at least one significant construction estimating or bidding platform.

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish; native Spanish speaker preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.

• Demonstrated capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Excellent organizational skills, time management, and follow-through abilities.

• Reliable internet connection and a designated remote workspace.

• Willingness to enter into a 1-year agreement with a 2-week termination clause.

• Availability for 40 hours per week.

• Familiarity with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, ProConnect, Procore, Revit, or AutoCAD.
