This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
β’ Identify pertinent construction projects and bidding opportunities that align with the company's strengths.
β’ Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs utilizing PlanHub and additional estimating tools.
β’ Examine drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ascertain the project scope.
β’ Develop precise and competitive bids for either complete or partial project scopes.
β’ Ensure bid submissions are made within specified deadlines.
β’ Manage RFIs, submittals, revisions, and updates related to bids.
β’ Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
β’ Assist in pre-construction activities and facilitate project handoff.
β’ Assess project opportunities to identify which bids are worth pursuing.
β’ Keep organized records for estimating and bidding processes.
β’ Participate in weekly strategic planning meetings every Friday with company leadership and department heads.
β’ Share updates, insights, and recommendations during planning discussions.
β’ Independently manage estimating priorities without the need for constant oversight.
β’ Contribute to the enhancement of estimating processes, bid quality, and overall project profitability.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of construction estimating experience in the U.S.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of U.S. construction estimating practices.
β’ Experience in performing quantity takeoffs and preparing bids.
β’ Proficient in takeoff and estimating software; familiarity with PlanHub is a significant advantage.
β’ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
β’ Knowledge of general construction practices and commercial projects.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
β’ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
β’ Capability to work independently without the need for constant guidance or supervision.
β’ Dependable and dedicated to meeting deadlines and fulfilling responsibilities.
β’ Experience in estimating commercial construction projects, particularly in retail, medical offices, and hospitality sectors.
β’ Experience with residential construction projects.
β’ Background in collaborating directly with U.S.-based contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or project owners.
β’ Proficient in managing the entire estimating cycle from project identification to bid submission.
β’ Familiarity with PlanHub or similar platforms for project bidding.
β’ Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor, subcontractor pricing, and project costs.
β’ Willingness to commit to 40 hours per week.
β’ Availability to work in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone.
