Senior Estimator – Civil, Road Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Efficiently manage the daily estimating and quoting process.

• Analyze customer inquiries, plans, drawings, and job timelines.

• Verify plans against schedules and identify discrepancies prior to quoting.

• Request any missing images, information, or clarifications from management.

• Conduct takeoffs from civil/road design drawings utilizing Adobe.

• Document and calculate quantities using Excel.

• Generate precise quotes following company templates, pricing structures, and rates.

• Source, compare, pursue, and validate supplier pricing.

• Determine margins and overall business costs for management assessment.

• Prepare quotes for management approval to be issued to clients initially.

• Communicate directly with suppliers using the company’s official email.

• Identify potential client opportunities to inform management; this is not a sales position.

• Gradually engage in more direct client interactions as agreed, starting with email and potentially moving to phone communication.

• Pose clarifying questions instead of making assumptions or agreeing by default.

• Escalate genuine exceptions once comfortable with the workflow.

• Report directly to the General Manager and Operations Manager.

• Ensure accuracy in quotes, timely delivery, professionalism, and client satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Background in engineering, preferably civil engineering, or practical experience with civil/road horizontal works.

• Over 5 years of experience as a senior Estimator.

• Practical daily experience using Adobe for drawing takeoff/markup and Excel for quantities and quotes.

• Genuine commitment to client satisfaction.

• Confident in independently reading civil/road design drawings and schedules.

• Possession of a personal computer/laptop; 16GB RAM or more is recommended.

• A dedicated home office suitable for full-time remote work.

• Availability for full-time work aligned with Australian business hours (AEST).

• Accurate and systematic approach to takeoff and quantity calculation.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Previous experience in estimating road safety barriers or similar civil/road infrastructure is desirable.

• Experience working with Australian clients, councils, builders, or construction companies is preferred.

• Familiarity with estimating or takeoff software beyond Adobe and Excel is desirable.
